[SOLVED] SATA HD not recognized...Help!
I have 1 IDE HD, 1 new SATA HD (unformatted), and 1 CD/DVD drive in my computer. The IDE is set to master & the disk drive set to slave. When I boot up, the BIOS recognizes the SATA drive, setting it to master. When I log on, however, the SATA is not visible or accessible in any way. I am thinking the configuration is ok because 1 drive is IDE & 1 is SATA. Any ideas on what's wrong?
Thanks |

Re: SATA HD not recognized...Help!
I messed around a bit... The SATA showed up on the device manager. When I opened computer management in the control panel and went to disk management, the SATA showed up as inaccessible because it wasn't online. I switched it to online & now it is ready to be formatted. Everything working fine now.
Thanks |
