[SOLVED] Bluscreen Error HELP PLEASE

Hello all,
I lately repaired my windows XP using the OS disk because of a log on log off loop. I think I fixed that problem which was apparently caused by a corrupted userinit.exe file bu t no every time i log on it comes up with the following error along with a blue screen:
*** STOP: 0x0000007F (0x0000000D, 0x0000000, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
Any help appreciated
THANX :)

Re: Bluscreen Error HELP PLEASE

Hi, welcome to TSF.

Can you start Windows in Safe mode? (tap F8 while Windows is starting)

Try reseating the RAM stick(s) and/or run Memtest (link in my signature). Let Memtest run for 4-5 cycles.

90% of these STOP: 0x0000007F errors I've come across have been RAM-related issues, so I'd certainly start there.

Re: Bluscreen Error HELP PLEASE

Download and unpack (double click) this MemTest file: memtest86+-2.01.zip

Burn the unpacked file to a CD with, for example, ImgBurn or Nero.

Boot your computer with the CD and run MemTest.
