I already have Two Maxtor HDD (model nos: 6B200P0 & 91021U2) installed on primary and secondary IDE channels, together with my LG DVD/CD-ROM drive.
I also have an, as yet, un-installed Maxtor 250GB HDD (STM3250820A) but am not clear whether I need a separate PCI/SATA & power connector to support this. The motherboard is a Micro Star International (KM266-8235) supporting an AMD Duron 1.6GHz CPU. Bus clockspeed 133 MHz. BIOS: Phoenix 6.00 PG O/S: XP SP2 Any advice gratefully received. Bob |

Do I need to install a PCI/SATA adaptor?
Hi Bobby8Pints, since the Maxtor 250GB HDD (STM3250820A) is an IDE drive, and you can hook up 4 drives on your two IDE ribbons. I would jumper it as a slave and install it to the middle connector on one of the IDE ribbons.
