OS: XP mce sp2
|
I am having trouble trying to install XP pro x64 on my RAID 0 array. Currently I have XP MCE sp2 installed and had no problems.
I decided to install XP x64. So, I got the nvidia RAID drivers from their website after trying the drivers that came on my MoBo driver disc and the Asus website [which doesn't have drivers for XP x64.] I can get to the partition section of the OS install, then I am not able to delete the "c:\" partition or make any new partitions and there is some really screwy info on the install screen regarding what is available for HDD space. I have [2] 300GB drives in RAID 0, so ~600GB of space to start, I have the c:\ partition at 32 GB and a d:\ partition at 500GB and I think I partioned the rest (e:\) as FAT32 for something else, that I haven't used yet. Until I started trying to install the new OS my drives were all fine, now I cannot see the e:/ partition and I have 3 unknown unpartioned spaces that total 2~3TB when I try to create a partition in the install. Upon further investigation, using 7tools partion manager I see my c: drive as "primary" "NTFS" ~32GB and active. Then *: as "extened" no format 528GB and not active Then d: as "logical" "NTFS" 488GB and not active Than *: as "logical" "[free]" 541GB and not active Then *: as "primary" "[free] 502GB and not active Any thoughts on what happened and how I can save the data on my d: drive? |
