Only used 30 gigs but reads as 60

I bought a brand new laptop from dell xps

and i moved my songs over .. and when i checked my hard drive space it reads that there is only 75 gigs left out of a 160 hard drive .

But when checked every folder to see how much i used up or was in my C hard drive .. it says im only using 30 gigs

Whats taking up my other 30 gigs?

EDIT: i also deleted about a gig of stuff .. but the free drive space remains the same at 75 free space

please help

Hi,

Is there a recovery partition?
Is the system showing hidden files? (Windows Explorer >> Tools, Folder options >> click the View tab >> tick "Show hidden files and folders" >> Apply, OK)

i do have a recovery partition

and also ... i cant seem to find the folder option (unless its internet option) .. nor the view tab.

are you sure its windows explorer?

Yes, Windows explorer = "My computer", not Internet Explorer.
