Lost Harddisk

I am trying to view the contents of an IDE HD on my laptop. I have an IDE-USB connector, and it is all plugged in (including power!). However the drive does not show up in My Computer even tho it IS in device manager! I have set the jumper to slave and I am using Vista Ultimate.

Re: Lost Harddisk

Can you see the drive in Disk management?
(Start > Settings > Control panel > Administrative tools > Computer management > Disk management)

If not, there's something wrong with the IDE>USB adapter, the drive or you need to install a driver for the adapter
