New Build - 2 hard drives
New to this forum but from what I have read so far this is the right place. Just ordered new components for new PC build. Son talked me into getting a ATA drive for data and files and a Raptor drive for gaming. Question is this.....I assume I will load the OS (Vista Home 32) on the raptor?
Also the Raptor is ATA and the seagate is SATA. Any issues to be seen doing this and how to head them off. Thanks all |

Re: New Build - 2 hard drives
Hi, welcome to TSF
What size are the 2 drives? Most people put Windows on the smaller or faster drive. There should be no problems mixing IDE with SATA.

Re: New Build - 2 hard drives
First off thanks for the reply. Second I made a mistake...both drives are SATA. Don't know what I was thinking. The faster Raptor drive is a 150GB unit. The second drive is a 500 GB Barracuda.
