Hard Drive wont let my comp boot up!!!

Hi, wen i turn my computer on it starts booting up for a few seconds maybe 3 or so... and then my hard drive will make a beeping noise and my computer will jst shut down?!......... plz HELP ME!!!!

How old is your hard drive? How old is your computer?

its only a few years old 3 or 4 maybe ?

sounds like it's either that your hard disk has a hardware (physical) problem, or that it has a firmware issue.

You need to try to take out the HDD, and put it into someone else's computer and test it as a secondary drive to see if it works there or not.

if you hear clicking noises from the hard disk, my advice is for you to NOT try ANYMORE because it would damage your platters. Contact a recovery company. If it's a mechanical/physical error, you don't want to keep turning on the computer/hdd.

thanks, tis not making a clicking noise it jst beeps then turns off, i was going to try and take the HDD out but tht would involve taking all my disk drives out in order to get to it... so i jst checked the connections to and from the hard drive and they were fine so maybe theres a fault in the HDD its self
