What do i look for in a hard drive?

My HD needs replacing, i dont necessarily need a big drive as i have a second drive for storage. What i want is a drive that will be as fast as possible.

Running XPPro with a AMD Athlon64 3000+ processor and 1gb ram.

Thanx

fractionally but as ide ports are disappearing from m/b's most of the new ones only have 1,you are better off going with sata

Re: What do i look for in a hard drive?

still buy sata 2 drives and put a jumper on the back making them sata
then when you upgrade the m/board you just have to remove the jumper
