New Motherboard and SATA Drive Not Detected
When I boot up, it gives me a "DISK READ ERROR, PLEASE INSERT SYSTEM DISK AND PRESS ENTER".
When I insert my Windows CD, it brings me to the setup, and where it would ask about the license agreement (iirc) it says "NO HARDDRIVE DETECTED". The motherboard that I just bought is an MSI K8T Neo2-F v2.0, and the HDD is a Western Digital Caviar SE WD800JD 80GB 7200 RPM 8MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s. Any ideas what could be wrong? All the cables are plugged in securely as far as I can tell, and I tried listening to hear if the harddrive spins up, but it's so quiet I can't hear it anyways. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Re: New Motherboard and SATA Drive Not Detected
I'm having trouble slipstreaming the files in. I used Nlite and added them as text drivers, but when I press F6 it still doesn't detect a device, and when I just let it try to install itself, it still says no device found.
