harddrive not showing up

I am having similiar issue on two seperate computers..one xp the other 2000 both are showing up in device mgr, but not in disk mgr and thru explorer it does not show up under my computer. the harddrive was purchased thru tigerdirect i do not know the brand...it is in an ultra case thanks dylan |

Hi,
Where does the drive show up in Device manager? Under Disk drives? Try mounting the drive inside one of the computers - "borrow" the data cable from the CD/DVD drive to see if it works. |
