OEM Internal Hard Drive Install

I'm thinking of buying a Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive - OEM. OEM is my operative word. I operate with Windows Vista Home Premium. I have never bought OEM equipment. Will I be able to install this hard drive into the open bay on my Gateway FX530S without additional equipment such as a case, cables, etc.? I believe I have, or can download, the needed software. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. Happy New Year all.

Hi, welcome to TSF.

OEM hardware is usually sold without the retail packaging, i.e. you'll probably need a SATA cable and mounting screws.

Yes, the drive you've chosen will fit into the bay.
