Confused Missing Sata Drives after upgrade

Hi all,

I have just upgraded my system case, as my old one was a bit small and tired. Everything worked fine before I swapped, but now I have a problem!. Only 1 of my 6 SATA ports works. I have 2 drives, an 80gb master with my O/S's on and a 500gb slave with all my data/games and music on. I don't have RAID setup, I have tried both drives on different ports and with different cables. I have also checked to see that nothing is trapped, blocking the ports or shorting anywhere. I have also reinstalled the drivers for the SATA controller.

I have checked the BIOS and only one drive shows, whichever happens to be connected to SATA1 at the time. I have also checked in Device Manager and Explorer and only the 1 drive is present.

Any help/ideas would be appreciated

Thanks

My Specs are as follows

Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus M/board
Intel E6600 processor
4gb Corsair Memory
Asus EN8800GTS 640Mb Graphics Card

Dual Boot Win XP64 Pro Sp2 and Ubuntu 7.10

Edited to add more info

Re: Missing Sata Drives after upgrade

Hi Crasher, thanks for the quick reply. The drives worked in this configuration before I swapped cases. The drives don't have jumpers on them.
