Master Slave Dispute

Alright this is it, I just ordered a 250 GB hard drive and I want it to be a slave drive to my 31 GB master. Will this work ? Or will I have to partition it into smaller hard drives ? Mainly because I seem to have misplaced my operating system disc.

It will work.,no problem, make sure sp2 is installed so you can allocate
the full size of the drive.

Master : 31 GB
Slave : 250 GB
