raid problem
hi all, I am having a problem with my hdd's. i had a basic ide 100gb maxtor drive. I recently decided to upgrade to a raid setup. i chose two 250gb seagate drives in raid 0. everything went fine, setup, install, raid card configuring, etc. I just noticed, however, that if i go to the boot select screen and choose the scsi/raid option (i am running raid via a card, not onboard), it says improper boot device, but if i select my old 100gb hd, it boots up to the raided hd.
While this is not really a big deal, since i still boot up to raid (i know the os is installed on the raided hd's, not my old one, because my old one has <100mb) and i can still access information on my old hd, it is really annoying. My questions are: how did this happen, and how can i fix it? Any help is super appreciated |
