Data Missing

My girlfriends computer is no longer up and running due to a windows issue, so i pulled the hd from it with hopes of copying all the documents and such off of it onto my computer so i could reformat her disk drive and get it up and running again. I hooked the hd up as a slave on my computer, but half the folders and documents dont even show up in windows explorer. I made sure it is to show all hidden folders, but nothing. It only shows the program folder and my Itunes folder, but my "My Documents" folder is nowhere to be found. also access is denied to a couple of the secondary folders. Is there any way to force my computer to find the missing folders and possibly let me access the others that it wont? My computer is running Xp home as was the computer i pulled the hd from

Re: Data Missing

How do you have the hard drive set up? Is it on the primary IDE connector or the Secondary connector? In addition, how is it jumpered and where is it located on the ribbon cable. Last, what else is on that same ribbon cable, and what is the brand name of the drive you are trying to work with?
