Hi, I have this problem, I can't work it out.. mobo is an ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe. The 2 drives in question are hooked up to the onboard Promise SATA controller in RAID 0.
What happened was: I was digging in the case, the SATA connector on one of drives must've been loose, so the connection was lost to that drive. And now I can't get that drive back into the array, it shows up in the menu and everything, it says it's free. The only thing it'll let me do is create a new array. Now the other onboard Raid controller (Intel I think) lets me insert the drive back into the array when I lost power to one of the drives on that array (this is 2 other drives). Does anybody have experience with these Promise controllers? Is there anything I can do? I just need to make that drive part of that array again, without making a new array and loosing the data ![]() Somebody help me out please! |
