PIO to DMA Mode Help with IDE Channels
I need to know how to set my Primary IDE Channel to DMA mode from PIO. It is really messing up my overall PC performance. Is this a feature in the BIOS? I have searched all around and I have set everything possible to its maximum potential and back, I have toggled the untoggable. My secondary IDE Channel is in Ultra DMA Mode 2.

Re: PIO to DMA Mode Help with IDE Channels
In bios set it to auto. You dont happen to have a cdrom drive on the
same cable as the harddrive do you? If so thats the problem, the device will revert to the slowest thing in the chain.
