I recently bought a new charger for this Dell Inspiron6000, and ever since, whenever I use for 2-3 hours non-stop the laptop while charging, it gets blocked and then I press on the off button for 5-10 seconds, and then when I start it again it shows: internal HD error strike a key for boot
and then they say no boot found... and when i on it 5-10 minutes later sometimes it is back to normal and sometimes it still shows the error and once my uncle gave the idea of detaching its battery, and now whenever it happens (practically 9 times out of 10), I do so, and it works! Pls give me an alternate solution which will not even show this message, and I can't even use it without charging for more than 1 1/2 to 2 hours, so it's not practical either.... Oh, another point to note, I actually feel like detaching the battery compartment every time, because it overheats, it's EXTREMELY hot under the laptop...Are all these problems related? What are possibly the most practical solutions, other than buying a new laptop...? Thanking you in advance, Santhosh |

Re: Dell Inspiron 6000: Error Message "Internal HD Error"
It might be worth checking on Dell's website that the battery in your laptop is not one of those covered by the recall program. The url is http://www.dellbatteryprogram.com/ - better be safe than sorry!
