Adding second SATA hard drive

Helo... I just bought a new sata hard drive for storage to go along with my other sata hard drive. I plugged it in and connected the power but when I boot into windows, windows doesn't see the new drive. What must I do to get xp to see this new sata hard drive. Sata is enabled in the bios (I can see the new drive in the bios too), and I'm using XP home.

I would suggest you pay a visit to the H/D manufacturer and see what they say.

Hi, welcome to TSF

You have to format the drive. Do that in Disk Management. Right click the drive > New partition - then follow the wizard.
