IBM T-30 won't boot
I have a IBM T-30. When I try to boot it I get a blue sceen. At the top it says unmountable boot valume. Next I select Safe Mode. It loops back to the blue screen and then start Normally or Safe Mode.
I used the Recovery Console from my XP disk. At the C prompt I used CHKDSK /R. I get AUTOCHK.EXE could not be located. I used FIXMBR and responded Y. It still will not boot. I am wondering if I can make the hard drive a slave to another one of my computers and get the files off. Is there a cable I can buy my my drive to USB? There is a diagram on the drive for Jumper Slave1 (slave). It has two pins blackened. Can someone provide some guindance? Thank you, Scott |
