[SOLVED] is my hard drive bad?

i need to know if i can fix my 120g hd (maxtor 4r120l0) i've run seatools for dos v 1.09ph and it spins but it fails short test. it says drive temp. has exceeded 125 degrees or something like that so how do i fix it or is it shot? right now I'm trying to 0 all. for the last 7 hours. i do not know if it's doing it or not but the she still spins! i guess i should add that i was trying to do an f disk on the hd and it would not format or make new partition. i do not need any info off the hd and just want it to run.if anyone knows about this please help!

thank you
