HDD Headcrash

I think my HDD is about to fail completely
These are the symptoms:
When accessing the HDD you can hear a crunching noise and the Disks stop spinning
When accessing the HDD the OS/games freeze for a few seconds

How long do you think i have until the HDD completely breaks down. hmm its been like this for about 1 month now. (i know)

I should be getting a replacement soon.
I need some prices for a 320gb SATA II in AUD Dollars

Thanks
