my 160gb hd is wierd...
i have a seagate ide 160gb hd installed to my pc and it only registered 120gb after installing windows,im wondering where did the 30gb+ go?
I tried reformat, my pc still it only registerd 128gb (64gb for my drive C and 63.9gb for my drive D) can someone help me thanks

i looked in disk management but its not there, i just saw
disk 0 Basic (C: ) (D: ) 127.99 GB 64.02GB NTFS 63.97 NTFS online Healthy(system) Healthy CD ROM 0 DVD (E: ) no media CD ROM 1 DVD (F: ) no media where could it be? thanks

You must of missed something when you initially partitioned. Get
seagates diagnostic tool and run it to actually view what is going on with the harddrive, you may have to format and repartition to get the space back, or use something like partition magic,

I read this http://www.seagate.com/ww/v/index.js...00f5ee0a0aRCRD and by the way im using WinXP SP1 only, maybe thats the problem as meantion there in that article that its not able to support HD larger than 137GB, maybe because I didnt quite understand that part. thanks again.

i have 80GB partition (spare hd) into 4 drives, and i want to make it just 2 drives, if i delete the other 2 drives (40gb each) using disk manager how can i make it in to one 40gb? if i delete it in disk manager will i get it back just using disk manager or i need to reformat everything?

You should start a new thread with this question, but to give you a
answer you would need to format and start over again, or use a program like partition magic. Format/repartition, or use partition magic.
