[SOLVED] Promise Fast Track RAID some basic info/help needed
Aloha!
If I delete an array, upon rebuilding that array am I given the choice as to which hard drive is the one that I want to copy and use as the master of the rebuilding process? The current array is a mirrored array, RAID 1. Here is why I ask: I was having an OS problem upon boot, I took one of the hard drives off the Promise RAID IDE controller card and directly connected it to the MOBO. I did a few diagnostics within Windows and stupidly I did a scandsk and somehow messed things up. Now I don't know how to get the second drive back into the system and to be a duplicate of the only good hard drive remaining. One last newb question: Can deleting RAID 1 arrays screw up my data or partitions in anyway? |
