I just got a new HP computer and its kinda nice, but with Vista its really really slow.. after a ton of hunt and seek operations with the thing, i found out that the hard drive was set to 'quiet' mode. Now i personally dont care about the sound of the hard drive, just as long as its operating at maximum performance.
Long story short, i found out its a Hatachi HD and downloaded an app to change the operation of the drive from quiet to performance. Does this in any way damage the drive? I have noticed a performance boost as well! Ty! Brian |
