Need Help With an External HDD
I had an IDE HDD and converted it to an external with the case. The first time I plugged it up it worked fine. I could access all the files on it. It's a 120 gig Maxtor. It holds like 80 gigs of music and about 10 gigs of PSP games, with the rest of the space being random things I created in Photoshop. The problem is now when I hook it up and turn it on, It just says Local Disc H and Local Disc I. Before it said Multimedia H and Albums I. I have tried all kinds of data recovery software and they could not even read the drives. I have changed the jumper settings numerous time to no avail. Does anyone have any idea what I am doing wrong? I would hate to have to format the drive and lose all of my data. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Much thanks in advance. |
