Continuous restarts

Hello,

I've been facing this problem from the past few days. When i boot my PC,several problems occur
-> blank screen with blinking cursor and then after sometime, i get this msg........... disk read error. insert proper boot media in boot device.
press alt ctrl + del to restart.
-> sometimes the XP bootscreen shows up, but then after loading for sometime, it automatically restarts.
.........
But after restarting 5-6 times my PC runs properly.
After facing these problems i formatted my PC and reinstalled Windows XP again, but the problems continue to occur.
I hav a 120gb Seagate SATA HDD
I downloaded Seatools for Seagate and ran the tests, which were successfull.
But i still face the same problem.
............
Could someone plz find a solution for this problem?

Thanking you in advance.

Re: Continuous restarts

Try booting without any USB devices plugged in. Make sure hard disk boot priority is set correctly in BIOS. If you reinstall XP in certain circumstances it will install in an extended hard disk partition, which may cause undesireable affects. Don't shut down, use stand by. Make sure Windows is not pirate software.
