Hello, I've just installed a 2nd hard drive, WD SATA II 250mb. When formatting drive I could only create a maximum partition size of 128.99GB.(C)
In windows disc management, it sees the unallocated space but won't allow me to create a 2nd partition.

Error reads:
"The disk configuration operation did not complete. Check the system event log for more information on the error. Verify the status of your storage devices before retrying. If that does not solve the problem, close the disk management console, then restart the disk manager or restart the computer"

I have a Gigabyte GA-81915P Duo Pro Mobo, and have updated the bios
Also I cannot find out from Gigabyte the maximum size of hard drive it supports. I have used Partition Magic to try and create a new partition in the unallocated space and even tried extending the size of the original partion (C) but both times it errored.

but didn't include enough information so I have re asked about this problem. Sorry in advance if I shouldn't have done this.

Can someone please help me with this?
