Computer buzzing- will not boot up
my computer will not start up. when i turn it on, it buzzes- (it sounds sort of like a fan) and it won't start. it was doing something like this before and i was told it was hard drive failure. i replaced the hard drive - is my computer eating hard drives? it's only about 2 years old. WHAT IS GOING ON?

Re: Computer buzzing- will not boot up
Are your fans spinning (CPU, power supply, motherboard, case fans), does the keyboard light up, do you hear any beeps?
Please post your system specs as outlined in Posting Your System Specs. Please be thorough. The more info we have the faster we can resolve your problem. |

Re: Computer buzzing- will not boot up
i unplugged my hard drive, but i cannot get it to boot to BIOS. i tried 'Delete' several times, i have tried F2 which is supposed to bring it to 'setup'. (as it says on the opening screen) and i tried 'tab' which takes it to BIOS on my other computer, and i tried typing threats on the keyboard- nothing seems to work. it just has the startup screen, then it says I'm missing something. (probably my hard drive, or my brain. hm.)

Re: Computer buzzing- will not boot up
it should still go into the bios screen with no h/drive connected
try a wired keyboard on it and see if you can access the bios redo the paste on the cpu h/sink with some arctic silver http://www.arcticsilver.com/arctic_s...structions.htm check if the buzzing is coming from the psu fan area
