What does this mean??

When I try to look at this thread I was participating in I get this message:

Hi,
It's because the thread has been removed due to double posting by the OP. A similar thread by the same user can be found in the hijack this forum.

Thanks . . since I don't know who the OP was I guess it is just lost . . sorta frustrating. Why would'nt the dupes be merged instead of just deleting one?
