[resolved]OS won't boot
Hi everyone, I need help with this I'm running a
Dual Core AMD Opteron Processor165 32 Bit Operating System for vista my problem is the boot up screen I'm using a Sata Drive to boot up and it works fine by itself until I plug in the IDE Maxtor drive and it would take me to a screen saying "Error Booting OS" I already set the jumper on the Maxtor Drive to secondary. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for your time. |

Re: OS won't boot
I think Dai; nailed your problem!
anytime you add an IDE to a system with Sata drives and No IDE drives, the addition of the IDE drive makes the bios alter the boot priority for your hard drive on its own ![]() so to adjust this problem after you add the IDE drive; you must enter the bios and set the sata drive to boot as second option / the cd-rom is normally set to first boot. dont forget to save the bios changes / then exit keep us posted with your progress
