Re: What should i buy?

I would buy one with at least 160gb of space. You can pick one up for about $80-90.
If your computer literate you could then partition the HDD into sections.
1. Boot
2. OS
3. Programs
It just makes your pc look tidy. And you could hide a partition like boot so that know one can mistakenly delete files.
I save a lot of data myself, my pc specs on the left <<<< will show you how much space i need..

Re: What should i buy?

there is always a few mb's that are never allocated. It is normal. Like Aus_Karlos said a 160gb would best plus they are fairly cheap.

Re: What should i buy?

If you have enough storage on your drives I would be getting a Western Digital Raptor 10000 rpm Drive.
They are extra fast and come in 36 and 74gig sizes
