I posted a reply to my previous thread but maybe this is a new issue since my system is finally actually recognising my new 500 GB Seagate HDD as a device.
Problem now is the fact that it's recognising the drive as a SCSI device through the SATA PCI Controller Card that I needed to purchase in order for my mother board to use the SATAII setup on the HDD. I was recommended this PCI card by ASUS in order to use the HDD. Now I see the drive as a SCSI device only here: ![]() How do I get it to be used as a Storage Device like my C: drive in My Computer? So close...yet so far away!

Re: HDD through SATA PCI Controller
Hi,
Have you formatted the drive? To format the drive (if you haven't done that already): Right-click My computer > Manage > Disk management > Right-click the drive > New partition > Follow the wizard. Nicholas |
