Hard Drive is not showing Data

Hi everybody, I m new in this form and this is my first post

I m facing a strange problem regarding to my hard disk.. the one partition of my hard drive is not showing my data... and the remaining 4 partitions are working fine. the data has capturing the space coz when we check the partition properties it shows that this space is in use and this space is free... but its not showing the data even i try by showing hidden files and folder.... i m using windows xp and i have 2 seagate hard drives of 40/40 GB.

if anybody know its solution please tell me soon as possible i have important data in it... i m waiting

Wondering how do you view those parition?

they are unformated partition and i can see them normally. and the partition which is not showing data is unformated too but its not showing its data

DO you put a data in unformatted parition?

No Brother... it was already formated and was working very fine but suddenly few days back when i start my pc i see that the data of my partition G: was not showing when i check the properties of the partition by right click on it, it shows me the exact files size and free spaces which was few days back when it was working fine.. means the data is present in this drive but its not showing..
got it???

Well,

RIght click on my computer then click Mange then click Disk Mangement then could you see if there G: drive there?
