Hi Welcome to TSF!

Did you set the jumper pin to "slave" on this second HDD?

You will need the 'original one set to "Master" and this 'new' one set to 'Slave'.
The Master has to be connected to the end connector, and the Slave on the middle connector of the IDE ribbon.

Check this out and report back with the result.

Kind Regards,

Re: HDD 320gb WD EIDE

Just to make sure you aren't missing something. Double check as Dave said to make sure the one left in there is set to Master. That is a common mistake that is easy to make.

Re: HDD 320gb WD EIDE

Hi,
Could you also check all connections are firm. On the mobo too; it's very easy to dislodge things when removing components.

(I've forgotten to change those HDD jumpers many times.......so annoying!)
