Transfer?

Im planning on getting another computer and the only thing I want to transfer from my old comp to my new comp is my Hard Drive. Can I do this or will all the info on the hard drive become wiped out? On the new computer I will have a 2 hard drives, the old one I want to keep and the new one that is coming w/the computer. So I will load my operating system on the blank one.

install your operating system and then slave the old drive to the new one
you will probably have to take ownership of the files

Ok thanks. Also how do I know where to put the "tabs/pins" on the back of the hard drives to make it a master and the other one a slave?

it is marked on top of the drive above the jumper pins
