Re: partitioning
Howdy Aus,
You can partiton them, but you will need a third party partition tool to do it without reinstalling the whole os..Somthing like Partition Magic.. I do not know of any free (easy) partitoning tools Here is the Ultimate Boot Cd, it has Partitoning tools, but you have to be well versed in the programs http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/download.html A nice tutroial for it as well. http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/tutorials.html

Re: partitioning
Ok. Ive read up on some of these articles. And i think i might be able to do this..
If i uninstall everythink but Vista, virus protection and firewall. and then defrag. Could i shrink the partition down to 20gbs and then create 2 new partitions... Ive read that if i move Vista to a different partition it may become unstable.. Will this method work. |

Re: partitioning
thanks for letting us know about the own partition tool as I did not know..
I will not be getting Vista for a couple years.. But as for the windows partition I find putting all my program files (ie..virus proggy's dvd tools all programs onto the C partition and making my os on the D partition. This is the fastest way to go but do not know how it would work in Vista.. And I only give XP 5 gigs of space. But Vista needs more..
