Missing HD
I have recently upgraded my mobo and cpu. After doing this I found that my second hard drive (60 Gb Samsung) was missing from the my computer tab. The HDD still shows in the system bios and in the windows device manager ( which says its working properly).
Anyone got any suggestions? Thanks, Aaron |

Re: Missing HD
Right click on the my computer icon, and select 'manage'. If your drive is shown here, you might be able to save it.
Make sure your secondary drive is connected and jumpered properly (most likely the "slave" position) and the power is secure. Make sure it's hooked up to the secondary IDE slot as well. When you boot, get into the BIOS and make sure it's set as a secondary hard drive. How did you install this drive? You might need to run the manufacturer's install disk again, however it should show up. Are both drives SATA or PATA, or a combination? I had trouble installing a combination on one of my motherboards, and had to switch the sata/pata to enhanced for them to be able to work together properly.
