Help resizing after dualboot issue
hello again fellow TSF members.
i, as some of you may know went with a dual boot of Ubuntu and XP PRO. i sized my xp partition to 10gb on an 80gb drive. but now need to size it to 40gb. i use the xp partition to play games and linux to play around with and to build experience with the awesomeness of linux distros. i know there is a way to resize within windows, i've used it before but i cannot remember how to do it. i have backed up everything i need to and have defragged. i, unfortunately do not have money to buy nifty programs liek partitionmagic or anything so i need to resort to freeware or opensource programs. or if needed use the windows disk tool. but again i forgot how and where to find it. so any instructions would be helpful thanks. -norin |

Re: Help resizing after dualboot issue
Have a look at PARTITION LOGIC, it is free, and there is also a manual you can download, i personally use its cousin Parition Magic

Norin (hindi nick?)
If you're using Ubuntu: You can use the GParted Live CD (or Ubuntu LiveCD): http://gparted.sourceforge.net/screenshots.php Here's some screenshots for resizing with GParted: http://gparted.sourceforge.net/larry...e/resizing.htm If Partition Logic doesn't work to your needs.
