Recover pics

Hello people,

I had issues with virus on computer and after running combo fix computer died and would not do any thing. When rebooted I was missing files and had to do a system recovery. Looking at this looked like i would not loose all my photos but seams that I have. They were in C:/Documents and Settings/HP_Owner/My Documents/My Pictures. My wife had also put them into adobe photo shop elements 5.0. they still show the files and dates etc in elements but is unable to find them. sUBs said this may be the best place to try and find something to help me recover at least my pics. Thank you in advance.

Re: Recover pics

try getdataback from www.runtime.org

they have a free scanner, if the recovery program can see your picutures then the program will restore your pictures (then you pay for fuull featured version)

Re: Recover pics

keep us posted on your progress, those photos are priceless as you well know

its time to burn them to a CD or DVD !

dont feel bad two years ago I was zero filling a hard drive while "multi tasking" and erased the wrong drive!

all my wifes kennel picutures were gone, all those field trial winning pictures as well as our cheerished hounds that passed away. Talk about a cold shoulder, that cold front still blows thru here every now and then, only there is no getting saved after a zero fill is completed!

I ENVY you, another chance at redemption; thats priceless
