My Computer sounds like a a Transformer.

I wasn't sure what I was hearing at first when I powered up the computer I got. (Not new but new 2 me) Its sounds like a jet or a Transformer. You know like the Autobots vs. the Deceptacons Its scary and I am wondering if its just dirty or if its suppose to sound like this or what.

Any help is much appreciated.

Re: My Computer sounds like a a Transformer.

If you have just got this computer from someone else the first thing I would do would be to pull the side cover off and get a can of compressed air in there and see if that makes a difference ( while turned off ) I would also have a look and see if there is any dust or grunge buildup on the fan blades and give them a clean if needed, will not hurt to blow out the power supply.
If that does not work let us know

Re: My Computer sounds like a a Transformer.

Well I gave it a try and it sounds better, but still pretty loud. I might not have been able to get all areas though since I was too afraid to take off very many cords incase I couldn't put them back on correctly. I hit the hot spots though I think. I got most of the fans I saw.
