Re: haed drive problem! i think
Hi, I am new to the site.
I tried to defrag my D drive and I got the message that there is too much on the drive. Out of approx: 30 GB I only have 4 available. How can I remove items from my D drive? Thank you bestofbest34736 |

Re: haed drive problem! i think
Ok, I see we've been moved.
To make room on your disk, you have to move data to another disk if possible, or to delete unneeded files. I guess your d: drive is your second drive, while windows is installed on the c: drive, can you confirm ? You can also use XP disk cleanup utility (accessories => system tools). Choose d: drive and see how much space you can recover. Don't use file compression. Last edited by justpassingby; 04-10-2007 at 05:52 PM. |

Re: drive to full for defrag
Gene:
I will try to save you alot of agony; been there done this tooooo many times buy yourself a replacment hard drive, then clone the contents from the full drive over to the new drive drives nowdays are cheap; for $50.00 you can easily buy a 120gig drive no matter how much cleaning and shuffling you do, you will be back looking at this problem again soon!
