Cant boot from CDROM!

Ok its my first time Reformating and reinstalling windows XP with this PC, ive set the bios to boot from the CDROM, (yes i have a genuine windows install CD in the drive)i restart the PC and i get the little msg to press any key to boot from the CDROM...so i go about pressing any keys but nothing happens i just loads windows as normal.

This may sound strange but it seems to me like the keyboard is switching off/losing power right before i need to press any key and its not responding but i could be just me.

Motherboard used: Abit AI7 I865PE P4 Skt478 ATX Board 400->800FSB, SATA/RAID,Audio w/SPDIF, 10/100 LAN, Firewire, Guru

Any ideas?

Much thanks.

Hi,

When you loaded the OS, did you load the chipset drivers and SP2?
