XP Boot Up Issue

Hello,
I've recently formatted a known good Quantum 40GB HDD and installed XP. The PC continually cycles through boot up. It never gets to the Windows XP page. Any ideas would be appreciated!

Are there any other errors that get displayed? Perhaps a blue screen flashes really quick? What is the last thing that is displayed.

Try tapping F8 when you start the computer to try and enter safe mode
