Hard Drive Activity Light Stay Lit

Hi, I recently installed a new Maxtor 200gb hard drive. Ever since, the hard drive activity light on my case is staying lit all the time. Any suggestions why?

Fixed! I figured out what was causing the problem. When I installed the new HD, I didn't have enough power connectors to connect it. So I had to disconnect a CD-ROM drive (which I never use anyways), and I disconnected the power but left the IDE cable plugged in. Apparently that was what was causing the HDD Access light to stay lit. I disconnected the IDE cable from the drive, and it worked.
