INTERLEAVE ! :-) What cave you came from?

No modern drives will allow you to do that, nor they longet have one. The reason of interleaving in a first place that host or disk didn't had enought time to read sequantialy. That was connected to phycial geometry of the drive.

You will not find a drive now which will let you access data using physical geometry any more. Everything has been taken care off my drive microcontroler and firmware

o'k ya I' found some references to that term microcontroler

the definition they give seems very vague to me

http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/M/microcontroller.html

this definition for controller seems easier to understand to me

http://www.webopedia.com/TERM/C/controller.html

Microcontroler in a sence is specialized CPU - Processor, which sits on the HDD PCB - back side of the drive, where all components are located.
On modern drives it is the largest chip. Microcontroler runs firmware - code which stored in the flash or mask ROM on the same PCB. That is where all drive functionality is done. Complexity of the modern drive is so sgnificant that it takes milions and milions lines of code to run to allow you access data on your drive.
