Re the teaching issue.....diff between emotionally generous and subtle need to be authoritarian.....versus athoritative. Before I no longer had time, I was ad hoc (not planned)part time fitness trainer. I think I got results among my clients because my goal was to share, educate re all the underlying basics....to empower and work toward autonomy.

Other trainers were horrified......I came 2 realize their goal was/is to be figures of authority/despots and explolit dependency!!!!! Hopefully, forevah. Nice.

One luminous exception is right here on this breathtaking site: the HJT forum! For the seriously trashed/infected/messed up.....these experts, I note with humility, peruse logs with their lasers, then post meticulous chronology of instructions based on contents ofeach log!!!! Aaaaand, with palpable sensitivity to the panic/desperation/time issue of the infected individual.....how amazing is this????Gorgeous/precious/paradigm. No simple thank U is enuff.

But also again brings home the shocking, infinite flaws in all versions of Windows we have come to accept as normal. Steve Jobs' birthday is Feb 24th...I always feel depressed & guilty on that day. So much for the Bettah Mousetrap Wins concept. I should put my money where my mouth is. I know.

As for Compaq and HP. I'm not sure if they are truly one-in-the-same, but they have the same tech support! So, that at least makes them lovers. It truly is a pisser to learn that you need the identical drive to use the restore disks. Especially since the computer is almost 3 years old now. Unless the guys at HP have some just lying around, the chances of finding one are very slim. It's like having to RMA a HDD 2 years into a 2 year warranty. You send it in and they send you one that is nicer and has a larger capacity because the others don't exist anymore.

Well, Jilly, the thing is that the Mexicans are being paid the exact same thing Americans are they just aren't paying taxes! They are coming north and taking the manufacturing jobs away from natural born Americans and they don't even have to pay taxes!!

I don't know about where you live, but around these parts the manufacturing jobs are some of the better paying jobs. They pay from $8.00/hr and up. That is a good wage here. I used to live in a 3 bedroom 1 1/2 bath house for $450.00/mo. That should give you an idea of the cost of living.

So, people are really resentful of these people that aren't even citizens taking away our jobs. And the manufacturers seem to have some kind of hard-on for them too. People keep saying that they are getting some kind of kick-back from the gov't for hiring them.

Well, the fact is that my family has been in this country for a very very long time and I couldn't get one of those jobs if my life depended on it. Yet the Mexicans come up here and get handed the jobs. I have no appreciation for that! There are a lot of Americans that should have a shot at those jobs first.

I'm sorry that Mexico is a poor country, but it is not our problem and not America's responsibility to take them all in! We have over 8 million illegal Mexicans in this country now and all they are going to do is let them stay and eventually become citizens. That makes me sick! It is just going to encourage more and more of them to just jump the border.

You almost make it sound OK that they are getting the jobs that American citizens should have.

Well, say what you want. I am mostly speaking about those who are here legally. Yet they are still afforded jobs that should go to Americans first. PS, Sorry if jpegs were Less Than; for some reason Epson could not nail a solution, and they are adorable and tried to fix this on the phone with me sitting here... XP Pro does not like my flatbed scanner software (desktop), but my lappy with XP Home just luvs it.....so I use the XP scan options in my desktop and usually get around the downside.

LOL! Don't worry, I can read it. It will, however, take me a while to actually process all that.

None of the opinions I have are an ego thing for me. I have just spent my life struggling to get a job and keep it. Yet these unskilled Mexicans come here and are handed a job no one would give me for anything as if they had years of experience at it.

They want to claim that the Mexicans are hard workers. Yet, all I have heard from those that work with them is to the contrary. My brother worked as a maintenance worker for Honeywell here where I live. They make automotive brakes. He and some of his coworkers imparted many a story of the Mexicans' antics on the job.

Seems these people spend about as much time deliberately breaking the machines so they don't have to work as they do actually working. Yet they don't get in trouble for doing it.

One story in particular. My brother was on his dinner break with one of the supervisors one day when a Mexican worker came in the break room. He told them that something was wrong with his machine. The both of them (the supervisor at the table being HIS supervisor) told him NOT to do anything else that they would be there momentarily.

By the time they got there, he had continued to use the machine even after being told NOT to, he had thoroughly broken it. My brother said that this guy did more that $14,000.00 damage to the machine. That is just in parts and not including the cost of labor to repair it. Do you think he even got a write up? NO! Do you think an AMERICAN worker would even have kept his job if he had done the same? NO!

So, why are American employers putting up with this from people like them?

I feel ya. For Real. But I beg U.....get clear on the perps....and get that the whole "they"mentality is usually The Enemy.....as for the why? Thrilled I can tell U want 2 know.....and yes, the Harper's piece takes time to read and time to understand and when U do, will take time to get up off the floor & get all this is being calculated purposefully in America.

But it will make U fierce, and ultimatly part of the solution. C, everyone now scramblng to make ends meet....part of the whole agenda....has little time to do anything but THAT.

Someday I will figure out how to make XP Pro like my scanner software. But this is less important than everyone in America geting clear....instead of some heartbreaking version of guys without limbs in Walter Reed Army Hospital so brainwashed that they are like Ï only want my brain and limbs back so I can go back and kill more TERRORISTS, back in Iraq!!!
