New Hard drive help

My motherboard on my old computer died unexpexctedly. I removed my old hard drive and installed it on my new computer. Both ran win xp and the second hard drive is recognized as a slav drive on my new computer but I can not retireve any of my saved files from My documents, My music etc..... I just recieve a messeage stating that it is not accessible and that access is denied. Does anybody know of a way I can retrieve these files. Thanks for any help that you can give me.

You need to tke ownership of the files.
