Changed drive Y?
I had a comp with a 40 GB harddisc set up as Local disc C: and a cd drive D:. I then brought a new hard drive and partisioned it so it was:
Local Disc C: CD drive D: local disc E: Local disk F: it was like this for months then sudenly it changed to: Lcal disc C: Lcal disc D: local disc E: CD drive F: Is there anyway of changing it back? |

Go to control panel / administrative tools, computer management, Disk management.
Right Click on the image of the D drive, choose "change drive letter or path" find a free letter eg G, click OK or apply Now do the same for the CD drive and select the drive letter as D repeat for the G drive and set to F if you want to check within XP help, do a search on "change drive letter" should point you to "assign, change, or remove a drive letter"
